Preventing Workplace Harassment: Understanding the New Worker Protection Act 2023

Date: Monday July 1
Time: 2:00pm - 2:45pm
Location: Online
Cost: Free

New legislation coming into force in October this year, means employers will be legally required to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.

Under the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, failing to take these steps could result in tribunals increasing any compensation awarded to an employee who has been sexually harassed by up to 25%.

While the specific actions required may differ across organisations, every employer has the responsibility to proactively assess risks and implement necessary and appropriate measures to prevent harassment in their workplace.

Join RealityHR for a free webinar and Q+A session where we will explain the new legislation, its likely impact on your business and the action you need to take to comply with it.

The webinar we will cover:

  • An overview of the new Act and how it changes the existing legislation
  • Defining sexual harassment and its various forms
  • What types of activities will be considered as reasonable preventative measures
  • Immediate actions and steps to ensure compliance

Please feel free to send any questions to training@realityhr.co.uk and they will answer them during the webinar.
